With a unique location in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, Scotts is the perfect spot to sit and take in the atmosphere of Scotland’s capital city. Our sweeping South facing terrace overlooks the famous Victoria Street and our sister restaurant Howies below.

Moments from The Royal Mile, Edinburgh Castle, Greyfriars Bobby and The National Museum, you can expect a warm welcome.

Breakfast, brunch, lunch, snacks, supper, cocktails, coffee and drinks are served all day on our South-facing Terrace or inside in our stylish restaurant. We do private parties and events too.

Booking is not essential but recommended.

Menus are subject to change. Events menus are examples and vary seasonally.

Our menus are a celebration of Scotland’s natural larder and local producers. We know all of our suppliers on a personal level, working closely with them for some time, so you can rest assured Scotts food is the very best Scotland has to offer.

  • Delicious salmon from Belhaven Smokery
  • Grass fed steak from family owned butcher Shaw’s in Lauder
  • Lobsters from East Lothian
  • Succulent mussles from the Shetland Isles
  • Ice cream from Mackies in Aberdeenshire
  • Cheese from Ian Mellis, our local cheesemonger.

We also offer locally produced drinks including Stewarts craft beer, Thistly Cross Cider from East Lothian, Edinburgh Gin and Arbikie vodka amongst others.
