Howies is an independent Edinburgh restaurant group established by David Howie Scott in 1990. We have 3 restaurants and an events company in the heart of Scotland’s Capital.


Howies and Scotts share a passion for fresh, seasonal, Scottish produce.

Howies Waterloo and Howies Victoria open 7 days and nights a week.
Scotts Kitchen open 7 days in summer months. Winter hours vary.
Scotts is perfect for a private gathering.

Our flagship venue is situated in a Georgian hall at the foot of Calton Hill. Open 7 days for lunch, dinner and private dining. Al fresco dining in warmer months.
