Howies and Scotts kitchen raise over £19,000 for Trussell
This winter, the team at Howies and Scotts Kitchen were delighted to support Trussell as one of our chosen charities for 2025. From 1st October 2025 to 30th December 2025, we raised an incredible £19,103 to help support people facing hunger and hardship across the UK.
We couldn’t have achieved this without the generosity of our amazing team and customers. Thank you to everyone who supported this important cause.
Zoe Pate, Head of partnerships at Trussell said:
“We are hugely grateful to Howies for supporting our work. Their generosity will help our community of food banks support people facing hunger and hardship across the UK – as we pursue our longer-term vision of ending the need for food banks, for good.”
David Sculthorpe, Senior Community and Fundraising Manager, also commented on the impact of this support:
” Your support has never been more vital. In 2024/25, food banks in the Trussell community provided 2,885,086 emergency food parcels to people facing hunger and hardship – of these, 1,024,177 went to children. This means that every 11 seconds across the UK, Trussell food banks provided an emergency parcel to people facing hardship.
Since 2019/20, there has been a 46% rise in parcels provided to families with children, and 32% rise in parcels to support children under the age of five. We really can’t repeat enough how much we appreciate all that you have done for us. We’re proud to have you as part of #Team Trussell! “
