30th of November is the day Scotland celebrates our Patron Saint of Scotland, St. Andrew.
Our annual excuse to eat delicious Scottish fare….though to be honest we do that every day.
Our menu always features wonderful seasonal Scottish food such as haggis, neeps (turnips) and tatties (mashed potato) the most famous of all our national dishes. A spicy, tasty, unique experience you have to try at least once. At Howies we serve both a vegetarian and traditional haggis …so you have no excuses not to give it a whirl.
Cullen Skink, a smoked haddock chowder which is frankly creamy and delicious. Named after the fishing town in the North of Scotland that invented it. Cullen. Yum.
Our Belhaven smoked salmon is a delight too. Plainly served with brown bread and butter…it is hard to beat and a joy to eat.
Click here for a more in-depth look at our menu...everything on there is locally sourced and freshly cooked…as we say in Scotland….so just get stuck in!
If you have the energy and urge to party well into the night on November 30th 2022 then Blazin’ Fiddles are playing at Usher Hall, a fabulous venue in Edinburgh and with their special guest Dougie MacLean…….click the link above and see if you can get some tickets….you will have a night to remember !
