Our flagship restaurant Howies Waterloo remains  open 7 days a week.
Restricted hours from 11.30 until 6pm and no booze but other than that….it’s business as usual!

Lara and team are looking forward to welcoming you in to enjoy our new Autumn menu all the seasonal goodies you expect from your local restaurant.

At this time of year we all need a virtual hug as we are not able to give a real one,  and to this end we have launched the Howies Roast on a Sunday. Mmmmm.  BOOK NOW

The Roast will vary, from Scottish Beef to Scottish Lamb for the meat eaters and a deliciously bespoke Vegetarian Roast for those who prefer not to eat meat.

The accompaniments are staying the same week to week,  the main reason being we are all hooked on these extraordinary Yorkshire puds….just look at these little beauties and tell me you’re not licking your lips.

Tier 3 is where we stay for the moment so our opening hours remain 11.30am until 6pm.

During the rollercoaster that is November 2020 in Edinburgh we have temporarily closed Howies Victoria Street.

Howies reopens Monday 2nd November.

Happily Howies Waterloo reopens 7 days a week on Monday 2nd November. Yeah!

Our hours are slightly curtailed but we will be open from 11.30am right through to 6pm serving our usual delicious selection of seasonal Scottish fare.

As ever our 2 course lunch is available for £12.75 and you choose from the whole Howies Menu none of your restricted nonsense here.

We have been looking after our customers for 30 years, we know what we’re doing.

So all you need to do is book a table, relax  and let us do all the work.

That’s just how we like it.

 

The Travellers Choice Award 2020

Yeah! We are delighted Howies Waterloo, Howies Victoria  and Scotts Kitchen have all  won The Travellers Choice Award 2020 from Trip Advisor.

Thank you to you for reviewing us and getting us up there. It means such a lot.

So why not book up for Monday, Tuesday and Wednesday this week for Eat Out To Help Out Deal. In fact book for next week too as word is spreading the half price deal is quite outstanding and it finishes on 31st. August.

As you know Howies  famous 2 course set price lunch….which is £12.75. …well not on Monday Tuesday and Wednesday in August! No literally it is halved, divided by 2 which means a 2 course lunch choosing from our whole menu for the princely sum of £6.47. WOW.  It  is eye poppingly low.

Our 2 course dinner is also half price, as is our 3 course dinner, and our soup, and our 6oz burger and our…..well everything!

Everything at Scotts Kitchen is half price too, including our new fav rave…our delicious Thai Soup..for under £2. 50!   It’s practically for nothing.

It’s cheaper to eat out than in so grab your family, friends and come along as you are…we look forward to seeing you!

Howies Waterloo open now and Scotts Kitchen which reopens on Friday 31st are delighted to be part of this Government Scheme to encourage diners back out and into the restaurants, bars and cafes.

It’s a great deal!  

Basically you get 50% off your food bill on a Monday to Wednesday lunch or dinner  until Monday 31st August with a maximum of £10 off each person.  Given our prices at Howies it’s practically for nothing…so do take advantage of it, take your friend, Mum or yourself out…I am yet to meet anyone who is not dreaming of eating out, letting someone else cook, and serve their food and do the dread washing up. Aaaaaaahhhh what luxury.
