September, 2024.Perfect night out We were blown away by the service, the atmosphere, the delicious and varied food, how they coped with special dietary requirements and how it was all presented. So professional, so fun! So absolutely scrumptious and wonderful. It made our already great day in Edinburgh to be perfect. Thank you! We have highly recommended you to a tour guide chap who is bringing a load of people from New Zealand next year, too!

Vegetarian choices are good, but I am vegetarian,not vegan,so get annoyed when I am given vegan cheese etc. Vegetarians can eat vegan food, albeit disgusting,but vegans cannot eat vegetarian food.Why do restaurants not provide both? There are more vegetarians rhan vegans
caz23029. September, 2024.Catch up lunch with friends We had a lovely meal here with friends. Food as always excellent value and very good. Friendly staff . Well worth a visit to this restaurant. Won't be long til I'm back.
Linda B28. September, 2024.Faultless Howies can’t be beaten for a pre theatre lunch. Setting and atmosphere are superb and the food is amazing. Cullen skink, trout pate and catch of the day are all worthy of special mention. Every member of staff had a ready smile and made us feel very welcome but special thanks to Maria on this occasion who looked after us so well. Hope to be back soon.

BillParker27. September, 2024.First Visit I made the reservation for the wrong night and they were quite full. But they did get us a nice table. The food and drink were excellent!! Cullen Skink soup was superb. The chicken dish was perfect for two of us. The other two had seafood dishes that were exceptional. We had different wines by the glass, all good. The restaurant had a very positive vibe and quite good wait staff. I highly recommend this restaurant!
