Howies is a locally owned and run restaurant. Established by passionate foodie, fisherman and amazing cook David Howie Scott in 1990. David has had a lifelong passion for freshly sourced local produce, wonderful wine and great Scottish hospitality. Over time he has established three wonderful restaurants in Scotland. Two in Edinburgh and one in Aberdeen. They share a name and a passion for food but are in their own ways completely unique.
As you know Scotland’s larder as a thing of beauty; wild deer, organic lamb, beef, game, fish, shellfish, freshly grown herbs, new potatoes, baby salad leaves, lobster, vegetables, grains, pulses and fruits, the list is endless. With such a cornucopia for goodness on our doorstep all we do is let the flavours shine through by preparing this wonderful produce for your delight. Our food has been enjoyed by diners in Scotland for over 20 years so we must be doing something right!
