Howies was established by passionate foodie, fisherman and amazing cook David Howie Scott in 1990. David’s lifelong passion for freshly sourced local produce, wonderful wine and great Scottish hospitality has led to him establishing three wonderful restaurants in Scotland. Two in central Edinburgh and one in Aberdeen. They share a name and a passion for food but are in their own ways completely unique.
Scotland’s larder is a thing of beauty; wild deer, organic lamb, beef, game, fish, shellfish, freshly grown herbs, new potatoes, baby salad leaves, lobster, vegetables, grains, pulses and fruits, the list is endless. With such a cornucopia of goodness on our doorstep all we do is let the flavours shine through by preparing and serving this wonderful produce. Our food has been enjoyed by diners in Scotland for 25 years so we must be doing something right!
