The atmosphere is magical, the place is bursting with history. Some locals may rememebr it when it was called Clarindas many many years ago. The reason it was called this, was because  Robert Burn's favourite mistress lived in the cottage right behind the restaurant and her name was...Clarinda.  The restaurant itself was built in the 1800's as the meeting place for the Rulers of Edinburgh to meet the Rulers of the town of Calton. Situated at the end of Princes Street in the heart of Europes most beautiful city, the sheer scale of the main room, which includes a charming minstrels gallery and raised stage area, make Howies, Waterloo  the perfect venue for your big day.
