Children are always welcome at any Howies restaurant and we are glad to say we stick by our principles of fresh, quality ingredients cooked to order. We can tailor, mix and match or create something for your child off of our normal menus and for older children are glad to offer half portions where possible.

Service is not included – however a 10% service charge is politely requested for parties of 8 or more
Corkage is charged at £3.00 per bottle (only available in Edinburgh and St Andrews)
Due to preparation methods all dishes may contain traces of nuts

  • Howies soup of the day (V)
  • Tian of herb creamed goats cheese, tomato chilli jam and aubergine with rocket, tapenade and aubergine crisp (V)
  • Chicken liver parfait with red onion marmalade and toasted brioche
  • Smoked mackerel and salmon roulade with seasonal leaves and basil crème fraiche
  • Salad of mortadella, pastrami and black pudding with stir fried vegetables and sweet chilli dressing
  • Cajun battered king prawns with seasonal leaves and balsamic reduction

>> MAIN COURSE

  • Crispy skinned salmon fillet with chive potatoes, creamed parmesan leeks and charred asparagus
  • Herb crepes filled with ratatouille glazed with spinach cream with crispy leeks (V)
  • Pan seared duck breast with spiced sweet potatoes, plum compote and a shallot, port sauce
  • Chicken breast filled with mozzarella, roast peppers, chorizo and rocket salad and pesto dressing
  • Pan fried pink sea bream with mango, green beans, calamari, potato salad and a crab vinaigrette
  • Roulade of pork fillet, sundried tomato and tarragon, sauté potatoes, roast vegetables 
  • Roast butternut squash salad, pistachio nuts, ginger and lime yoghurt dressing with couscous (V)

  • Pistachio nut crème brulee with chocolate biscotti.
  • Pear and ginger cake with chantilly cream.
  • Marscapone cheesecake with a rich chocolate sauce
